Meditation and a look through time!
Perhaps it is the nostalgia of the constellations that come and go beyond tomorrow, where the only trace remains is the deciphering of the soul and the multitude of words left behind. Like a gust of wind, the light rises in the mind, which illuminates the steps taken, the effort to rise to the cult, that human march that parades between hope and faith towards new challenges and the fate of existence.
Who more than written art could make this vital mirror, in the most perfect forms and ways, bring visions and reflections that have no limits, infinite space and the journey towards the deepest meaning of knowledge, as form, content and devotion.
This is one more motive to join the "Atunis" Anthology, where different voices, troubled souls, refract the single moment of creative energy to become an inseparable part of the universal language and culture.
Meditation and a look through time!
llumination and flight through that fog, which reveals and hides our mysticism, through the bridges that connect our worlds, as a vision and rebirth of genuine art.
Agron Shele (Albania - Belgium)
The importance of peace and tolerance in society
At the moment, the cultural sector is having a hard time due to the global imbalance, crisis, caused by many conflicts that don’t seem to be resolved. Or are rearing their heads again after many years. These conflicts not only cause unrest in the affected areas but also cause misery and disasters far beyond due to the negative effects on growth – in all areas – and progress. The economies are also affected and therefore show all kinds of shortages, restrictions on freedoms, poverty, and a certain decline in a hard and slowly acquired prosperity.
It is of great importance to put peace and tolerance high on the agenda and to guarantee security. So that every person on earth can build a reasonable existence, for themselves and for their loved ones. With the aim: to make the world a better place.
Literature always runs parallel to the specific characteristics of a society and is therefore time-bound, if it is not focused on the personal characteristics. Most poets and artists are aware of what is happening in their own society and keep a close eye on all kinds of developments. They write about it, they make artwork about it. Sometimes as a protest. To make a counter-image clear how something can be different.
In this international anthology with poems from all corners of the world, you will find a reflection of general values, and experiences that go beyond the boundaries of reality, in which imagination plays a role, filling in registrations of hope and desire for change, a better future, a more stable and healthy environment. So that happiness can be found again in simple things, that surround every person and that everyone should have the right to.
Hannie Rouweler, editor, Netherlands
The poetry wants to build bridges through a multilingual dialogue
What is the mission of poetry in this dark time plagued by conflicts and barbarism of all kinds? Big names continue to repeat that poetry is useless and in fact beauty cannot save the world, but it can produce small daily changes in those who read it, it can train us to listen and remind us that only through listening does empathy develop.
Putting ourselves in someone else's shoes through reading poetry is a good way to question ourselves about what we would like for our young people and what we would not like to be done to us.
The prophetic function of poetry is precisely that of wishing well, of recognizing glimmers of humanity to carry forward into the future.
Authors from all over the world leave us their melody to highlight how much to save and how much to leave behind.
Not everyone has written songs about beauty and perfection, friendship and peace, sometimes you can read poems full of pain, uncertainty, fear, nostalgia but all the authors present inhabit poetry as if it were an immense Tower of Babel and strive to speak the mother tongue of poetry to communicate with each other, because whoever stops doing so, is lost. Poetry does not raise fences, does not build walls and does not build walkways or shop windows, poetry wants to build bridges through a multilingual dialogue that does not erase anyone's identity, but places it next to a plural system of many different identities. The main builder of these poetic bridges is the writer Agron Shele who manages the magazine Atunis and punctually every year deals with the compilation of this almanac of contemporary poetry, bringing together around the word many intellectuals from different parts of the world. In this Anthology there is no logic of "do ut des" as ancient Latin says to indicate any exchange of kindness, the authors in this book are selected solely on the basis of their stylistic figure and their devotion to poetry. Even the presence of artists with their works demonstrates how the contamination between genres contributes to the cultural mission of sowing empathy and awakening consciences through free expression, metalanguage and dreamlike vision. A collection of poems is not read in a couple of hours, but is enjoyed every other day by leafing through it at random. So I invite you to keep this treasure chest on your bedside table and take refuge in the cathartic power of beauty, whether it is made of sounds, echoes, rhythms, colors or glances.
Dr. Claudia Piccinno (Italy)
Introduction
In an increasingly interconnected world, poetry emerges as a clear and universal language that transcends boundaries, cultures, and traditions. This anthology aims to celebrate the richness and diversity of poetic expression by gathering the voices of 200 poets and artists from every corner of the globe.
Each page of this collection is a journey, a window into different worlds, inviting us to explore the emotions and hopes, challenges and victories of those living in distinct environments and realities. The words of these authors, written in different styles, intertwine to create a vibrant tapestry of experiences and emotions. In them, we find the echoes of personal stories, the wisdom of ancestral traditions, and the passion of new generations. Poetry, with its evocative and transformative power, has the ability to make us feel close even when distances separate us. Within these pages, you will find not just a collection of verses; it is an invitation to reflect, to share; to break down walls and build bridges of understanding between cultures. Each poem is an invitation to connect empathetically with others, to allow oneself to be inspired, and to recognize oneself in the experiences of others, reaffirming our shared humanity.
Poets often do not love themselves; they are restless souls on a journey toward a safe harbor, unaware that the refuge they seek has always been right beside them… it is within them, in the magnificent treasure chest that holds their deepest essence: the soul!
The soul of poets is like a diamond pierced by a ray of sunlight in the dark, and like in a Caravaggio painting, the shadow is no less important than the light, but it gives it new depth, enhancing it.
I hope that these pages can inspire new thoughts, emotions, and connections. May they become a beacon of light and hope for those seeking the beauty of the world in words, even amid its challenges. At a time when divisions seem to prevail, may poetry unite us, offer us new horizons, and strengthen our mutual understanding.
Welcome to the journey of this universal poetic anthology.
